The Kids
S is crushing it in soccer.
There’s no formal league here in Tessera.
S was used to more competition back home.
Still, lots of folks play.
There are some soccer fields in Tessera’s central park flanked by sun-sail covered bleachers.
But he’s so competitive.
S has been getting up every day at 5 AM to train with his new buddy Max.
They met a few days ago.
It has to be those early morning hours.
Any other time and you melt.
S asked Ash if he would help out.
Ash was flattered but came back shortly after, because they just had him fetching the soccer balls.
Sounds boring to me, too.
F hasn’t mentioned any friends yet.
I’m not too surprised.
She’s such an introvert.
She’s been disappearing to the art studios and the library.
Apparently, F roped Ash into being her model for drawing practice this afternoon.
Ash insists he was the best model.
They’re good kids.
Never up to no good.
Makes me happy.
Being a parent is pretty rewarding sometimes.
